Review of Frankenstein

By Rebecca Milne

An inspiring novel, which is as important in themes today as it was when it was written. The dangers of ambition, the controversial place of women, and the wrong use of science for an individual's own gain - some of Victor's catharsis. When analysing the text, you could notice the change in narratives, the first time we hear Elizabeth, she details characters who are doomed to die by the hands of the monster - including herself, the doppelganger effects of Victor, the monster and Robert Walton. A great book for discussion is an understatement. It is also an amazing story.
